| Your Quarterly Teleconference or Web Conference |
|---|
With 21st Century regulations regarding equal access to financial information you are almost certainly offering a publicly accessible quarterly teleconference or webcast. The webcast has become the Reg FD solution. There are many new companies springing up to help you create such conferences.
Below are links to tips on teleconferencing. If you wish to see what other companies have done with teleconferences, search on "teleconference" or "webcast" plus the word "earnings" via the popular search engines. You will find the transcripts of many companies' conferences at their websites and you will find the names of the media companies who facilitated them.
- Marketing & Creation wrote a good list of Conference Hints which has since disappeared at their site. So here is a text-only version.
- AT&T wrote a good series of Tips and Techniques for conferencing. Since these pages disappeared at their site, here's the text-only version of their First Page (on Teleconferencing) and Second Page (on Video Conferencing) and Third Page (More on Video Conferencing).
- Get-Serious.com wrote a great article on Teleconference Ettiquet. That Website has disappeared but here is a a text-only version.
When you archive the audio and/or video version of your presentation or conference at your Website, save an MP3 version of your audio presentation and make it available via an RSS feed. Creating an RSS file and uploading it to your server is relatively easy. There are also easy-to-use utilities such as Feedburner. Then make sure your presentation is included at StreetIQ.com and other podcast or videocast directories. StreetIQ is a subsidiary of FinancialContent which specializes in the integration and delivery of financial data and tools into websites, corporate intranets and print media. Therefore, your podcast may also enjoy an even wider distribution.
